About the position

The Retail Services Supervisor (Head Teller) at S&T Bank is responsible for overseeing the customer service operations within the branch, ensuring exceptional service delivery while managing and training customer service representatives. This role involves resolving customer issues, maintaining operational efficiency, and contributing to branch sales goals. The supervisor will also be involved in staff training, scheduling, and adherence to bank policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate a customer service window to provide exceptional customer service on various transactions.
• Resolve customer problems/issues/concerns accurately and efficiently.
• Supervise staff in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
• Oversee training, onboarding, and mentoring of new customer service representatives (CSRs).
• Provide technical and operational assistance to CSRs.
• Ensure operational policies and procedures are properly executed for the front line.
• Establish schedules and ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures.
• Coach frontline sales team members on computer systems and bank policies to prevent fraud.
• Allocate branch tasks and assist in training personnel.
• Handle difficult problems and unusual tasks in accordance with bank policies.
• Maintain a positive relationship with bank customers and contribute to branch sales goals.
• Ensure daily office settlement of all retail operations and processes.
• Oversee maintenance of vault cash levels and related responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized training or a two-year degree preferred.
• Two to five years of general business experience required; one to two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Successful completion of the retail training program required.
