About the position

The Retail Team Member - Custom Framing Designer at Michaels is responsible for building customer relationships while providing high-quality custom framing solutions. This part-time role involves assisting customers in finding products, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and adhering to company policies and procedures. The position requires a focus on customer service and teamwork to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
• Execute Company policies and standards.
• Embrace and execute personal designer by using Elevated ABC to build relationships with customers while creating Custom Framing solutions.
• Complete framing orders with a high degree of quality and on time.
• Maintain the ready-made frame department and other assigned areas including SISO and Directed Replenishment.
• Deliver friendly customer service; help customers shop and find what they are looking for.
• Provide a well merchandised and in-stock store for customers to shop.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; remain positive and respectful, even in difficult situations.
• Participate in the truck unload and stocking processes to ensure truck standards are followed and completed within budget.
• Operate cash register and execute cash handling to standards.
• Acknowledge customers, help locate products, and provide solutions.
• Assist with Omni channel processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and basic measuring skills.
• Ability to operate the framing equipment and glass cutter.
