About the position

The Retail Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales and promoting the company's fuel products to dealers and distributors within a designated territory. This role focuses on acquiring new profitable business, building strong relationships with dealers, and ensuring their fuel needs are met while achieving sales targets to contribute to the company's growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop goals and strategies to maintain and increase revenue and profitability within sales territory.
  • Identify and secure profitable strategic customers.
  • Create and manage a robust pipeline of qualified new business.
  • Negotiate with new customers to secure profitable business.
  • Generate leads and qualify prospects.
  • Organize and lead sales presentations and proposals for prospects.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers.
  • Document sales activities and manage CRM records accurately.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with sales management and internal teams.
  • Close new business and facilitate seamless integration into the company.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new dealers and distributors.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries and complaints.
  • Collaborate with dealers to recommend suitable product offerings and solutions.
  • Track customer performance using various metrics and advise customers accordingly.
  • Manage contract status and initiate renewal processes in a timely manner.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to meet client requirements.
  • Collect and analyze sales data and trends to share with stakeholders.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings according to company standards.
  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing departments to implement strategies for new products.
  • Ensure brand consistency and develop promotional materials with the Marketing Team.
  • Organize product training sessions for dealers and distributors.
  • Manage image enhancements and maintenance for each station.
  • Assist customers with maintenance and replacement of fueling systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing multi-location retail locations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid experience in sales and customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • Proven experience in dealer sales, business development, or B2B sales, preferably in the fuel and lubricants industry.
