About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, focusing on providing exceptional patient care in various healthcare settings, including acute care and senior care environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and medical histories.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health, identifying any changes that require intervention.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery.
- Assist in triaging patients in emergency situations, particularly in a Level I Trauma Center setting.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care standards.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and occupational health principles.
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques and acute care practices.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical nursing standards.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in senior care or pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) settings is preferred but not required.
