About the position

As a Rolling Mill Operator at Gerdau, you will be an integral part of our production team, responsible for maintaining equipment operations, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring the quality of our products. Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment operations and safety standards.
• Conduct bar quality inspections and housekeeping duties.
• Ensure all buckets are emptied as needed to allow continued operations.
• Maintain cleaning schedule and assist maintenance as needed.
• Assist in saw blade changes, roll changes, and inspections.

Requirements

• 3 years of manufacturing or industrial experience.
• Successful completion of entrance exam.
• Basic computer skills.
• General math skills and advanced problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including days, nights, and two consecutive weekends a month.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with heavy mobile equipment, overhead cranes, cab cranes, and torches.
