About the position

Cintas is seeking a Route Service Sales Representative to manage and grow customer accounts in the Rental Division. This role involves driving a truck along an established route to service and sell within an existing customer base, delivering and picking up various rental products. The position is physical and fast-paced, requiring the representative to build rapport with customers, ensure quality standards, and proactively address customer concerns. The majority of representatives work a 4-day workweek with no weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a truck along an established route to service and sell to existing customers.
  • Deliver and pick up uniforms, shop towels, chemical cleaning products, and other rental products.
  • Build rapport with key decision makers and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Proactively solve customer concerns and grow the existing customer base by upselling and cross-selling additional products and services.
  • Negotiate service agreement renewals and control inventory while complying with driving and vehicle regulations.

Requirements

  • Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements for driving a regulated vehicle weighing more than 10,000 lbs.
  • Possess an active driver's license and be at least 21 years of age.
  • Obtain a DOT medical certification and provide documentation regarding previous employment.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
  • High School diploma, GED, or Military Service.
  • Demonstrate a strong customer service orientation and self-motivation.
