About the position

The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring that all safety standard operating procedures are adhered to at construction job sites. This role involves managing safety programs, documentation, and compliance with safety regulations, while promoting a culture of safety within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety standard operating procedures at all job sites.
  • Administer and document company safety programs.
  • Conduct safety training and orientation for employees.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure safety is integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Maintain safety records and documentation as required by OSHA and company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, occupational safety, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of safety experience in commercial construction.
  • OSHA 30-hour training certification.
  • OSHA 500/510 certification.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a drive to meet safety goals.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with fleet maintenance management.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
