About the position

The Sales Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and managing training programs that enhance the skills of the sales team. This role focuses on ensuring that sales personnel are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools for success, including ongoing product knowledge, market insights, and selling skills. The Sales Trainer will also collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective onboarding of new sales team members.

Responsibilities

  • Onboard sales talent with a focus on long-term success.
  • Develop and implement effective, results-driven training programs.
  • Proactively assess knowledge gaps within sales teams in collaboration with appropriate colleagues.
  • Work with Sales Leadership to review, adjust, design, develop, and implement training for areas of improvement.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to identify training needs and improve training solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent coursework in a related specialized field and 5+ years of related experience, or a master's degree.
  • 5+ years of industry and commercial experience, including auto, structured finance, and/or financial services.
  • 2 years in an HQ sales training role, and product launch experience is a plus.
  • Experience delivering training to a variety of audiences in a corporate setting.
  • Experience with the Challenger Selling Model is a plus.
  • PC and e-communication proficiency required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom, and other web-enabled remote training tools.

  • Self-motivated and managed; ability to work independently and as part of a team with limited supervision.
  • Ability to effectively organize tasks and meet strict time and production deadlines.
