About the position

The Sanitation team member at Indiana Packers Corporation is responsible for cleaning and maintaining equipment to ensure compliance with food safety standards. This full-time position operates during the third shift, requiring dedication to cleanliness and safety in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Cover motors, electrical plugs, and all computer equipment
• Use a pressure hose to spray down all equipment
• Scour equipment with chemical as needed
• Cleaning of pipes, walls, refrigeration units, etc.
• Perform all work assigned by supervisor
• Perform general housekeeping duties
• Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements

Requirements

• Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
• Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently
• Must be able to grip with wrist
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in cold temperatures in a damp environment
