About the position

The SAP TMO Utility Director at PwC is responsible for overseeing and managing large-scale SAP implementation projects specifically within the utilities sector. This role involves collaborating with business leaders, project managers, and technical teams to define project objectives, develop plans, allocate resources, and ensure successful delivery of SAP solutions. The director will also mentor future leaders, drive business growth, and maintain high standards of quality and integrity in client engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage large-scale SAP implementation projects within the utilities sector.
  • Work closely with business leaders and project managers to define project objectives and develop project plans.
  • Allocate resources and monitor project progress while mitigating risks.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of SAP solutions.
  • Develop new ideas and solutions, driving thought leadership in the utilities sector.
  • Establish and manage governance structures and risk management protocols for utility projects.
  • Mobilize and manage cross-functional teams focused on utility-specific SAP implementations.
  • Evaluate program metrics and trends to optimize project delivery in the utilities sector.
  • Bridge gaps between IT and business units within utility companies.
  • Utilize Agile, hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies for SAP transformations in the utilities industry.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading SAP implementation projects, particularly in the utilities sector.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP applications and the ability to develop market-differentiated solutions.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with third-party vendors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior client executives and project teams.
  • High-level knowledge of S/4 HANA and ECC integration with other SAP modules.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with change management frameworks in SAP projects.
  • Familiarity with SAP technology stack, including SAP BASIS and Fiori.
  • Understanding of industry-specific challenges and regulations in the utilities sector.
