About the position

The Security Technician will be responsible for the installation and servicing of various security systems, including Access Control, Video Management, Intrusion Detection, and Intercom Systems. This role requires technical expertise and creativity in handling complex security systems, with a focus on supporting federal government projects.

Responsibilities

• Installation, programming, and servicing a variety of security systems.
• Manage the onsite installation of Security Systems and collaborate with the Project Manager to develop schedules.
• Execute all technical aspects of multiple projects, including preparation of project documentation such as commissioning reports and as-built drawings.
• Provide customer training and ongoing technical support.
• Identify potential project risks and assist in developing strategies to minimize impact.

Requirements

• Active Secret Government clearance is preferred.
• Experience with complex security systems is required.
• Ability to interpret Statement of Work, blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications.
• Knowledge of electronics and ability to interpret manuals and wiring diagrams.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience and/or certifications with systems such as Lenel, Milestone, RS2, DSX, Brivo, Pelco, Exacq Vision, Interlogix, Bosch, DMP & Aiphone.
