About the position

The Service Representative position at Numerica Credit Union is focused on enhancing member experiences by processing a variety of transactions and uncovering financial needs. The role emphasizes building strong relationships with members and providing exceptional service in line with the organization's mission to fulfill dreams and build communities. This position is available at three levels (1, 2, or 3), each with increasing responsibilities and salary ranges.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and accurately process a wide variety of transactions.
• Work with and understand the credit union operating system, balance cash drawer, and perform other operational functions accurately and timely.
• Ask members appropriate open-ended questions to understand their financial needs.
• Make applicable recommendations and/or referrals to specialists to help members achieve their financial goals.
• Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all compliance and regulatory standards including internal policies.
• Incorporate CARES Principles in daily behaviors and interactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; plus minimum of 6 months related experience for Service Representative 1, 2 years for Service Representative 2, and 4 years for Service Representative 3.
• Experience in customer service with cash handling.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
• Ability to operate general office machines and equipment.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant training in a credit union, bank, or other financial institution.
• Bi-lingual, Spanish preferred in some markets.
