About the position

The Service Supervisor at Greystar is responsible for overseeing technical and mechanical work to ensure that the community's buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company's standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This role involves managing maintenance requests, preparing vacant apartments for leasing, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations while providing excellent customer service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders generated from resident requests for service.
• Oversee and complete the 'make-ready' process for vacant apartment homes.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and overall appearance of community areas.
• Inspect work performed by service team members and contractors to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain adequate inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Conduct regularly scheduled safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety laws and requirements.
• Demonstrate customer service skills by treating residents with respect and responding to complaints efficiently.

Requirements

• Experience in property maintenance or a related field.
• Strong technical and mechanical skills.
• Ability to diagnose and repair issues in accordance with safety standards and code requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous supervisory experience in a maintenance role.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Experience in property management.
