About The Position

The Service Technician role at Hoj Innovations involves performing installations, preventative maintenance, and field service repair on material handling equipment. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years of related mechanical and electrical experience with troubleshooting experience.
• Relevant knowledge of warehousing/distribution and material handling equipment is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass background checks and ongoing random drug screenings.
• Basic knowledge in the use of computers and basic data entry skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with rigging and lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to work on-call rotations and travel if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on automated packaging and distribution equipment.
• Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
• Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas.
• Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
• Remove and replace worn or defective parts of drive mechanisms or hydraulic systems.
• Realign and adjust components such as spindles and clutches.
• Set up and operate metal working tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinder to make or repair parts.
• Comply with all safety rules and regulations both within the company premises and on customer jobsites.
