About the position

The Service Technician role at Puretec Industrial Water involves providing high purity water purification services across various industries, including pharmaceuticals and critical infrastructures. The position requires a blend of technical skills to install, maintain, and troubleshoot water treatment equipment while adhering to safety protocols and company values. The technician will be part of a supportive team that emphasizes a positive work culture and community involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain water treatment equipment.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments.
  • Load and unload a truck for each customer's service site as dispatched.
  • Conduct a daily truck inspection and report any safety or mechanical issues found immediately.
  • Complete all MMAs or services based on the date scheduled by management.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Continue education on purification equipment and theory.
  • Notify management of any concerns that may arise regarding service stops.
  • Respond to emergency service calls when scheduled to be on call.
  • Adhere to company and customer site safety requirements.
  • Use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate to maximize employee morale and productivity.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn to install, test, troubleshoot, and repair water treatment systems, including Water Softeners, RO units, Pumps, Controllers, PLC systems, and Ultra-Pure Water Systems.
  • Proficient with PVC from 1 to 4 inches and troubleshooting other general plumbing and/or electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form including manuals, PI&D, calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges.
  • Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong English, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to carry out assignments to completion.
  • Outstanding organizational/time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Must maintain a positive, friendly, supportive attitude and professional image at all times.
