About the position
The Service Writer / Truck Parts Customer Support Representative plays a crucial role in maintaining customer relationships and ensuring the smooth operation of parts sales and service. This position involves direct interaction with customers, managing orders, and supporting the Road Service Technicians with parts procurement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in truck parts and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Solicit sale of new or additional parts or services.
- Utilize computer system for entering and updating customer orders, maintaining accurate inventory, and closing invoices to customers.
- Communicate with customers in person, over the phone, and using electronic tools.
- Greet and service walk-in front counter parts sales.
- Answer all parts phone calls.
- Procure parts for all Road Service Technicians.
- Resolve inventory issues at the location.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Truck Parts background is necessary.
- Driver's License is required.
- CDL is a plus.
