About The Position

The Servicing Portfolio Analyst position at Figure is a pivotal role focused on loan portfolio management, research, and analysis. The analyst will monitor and analyze the performance of existing loan servicing portfolios, identify trends and risks, and support informed decision-making through comprehensive reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Accounting preferred or equivalent.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in analyzing complex problems and translating them into an analytical approach.
  • 3+ years of experience in portfolio analysis, financial analysis, or a related analytical role in consumer finance, mortgage or HELOC preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, or similar).
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, partnership, and teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Loan Management Systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of Tableau helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of existing loan servicing portfolios, identifying trends and risks.
  • Perform detailed analyses of portfolio risks, including various risk factors and their correlations.
  • Design monitoring systems to detect and mitigate potential risk behaviors.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and present findings to support informed decision-making.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor the effectiveness of default strategies, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
  • Analyze default trends, customer behavior, and economic factors to develop effective default management strategies.
  • Conduct research on market conditions, industry trends, and regulatory requirements relevant to the lending portfolio.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in the industry.
  • Assist with driving accountability to key performance metrics across the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Portfolio Manager, Directors, and other team members on key strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different departments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Assist in due diligence activities, including site visits, document reviews, and verification of vendor/subservicer provided information.
  • Accurately reconcile servicing portfolios, audit accounting and invoice data for accuracy, and resolve transactional discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Respond to data requests from internal and external sources.
