About the position

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction through effective shipping and receiving processes. This role involves administrative tasks related to order fulfillment, document accuracy, and timely shipments, all while adhering to safety and sanitation standards. The clerk plays a crucial role in achieving operational goals and maintaining compliance with various regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure OTIF goals by engaging in order fulfillment, document preparation, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Maintain effective relationships with account representatives, Inventory, CLM's, Transportation, OTR Drivers, RPA, Quality, Brokers, and site leadership.
  • Coordinate the release of product from production facilities.
  • Assist with voids, pushes, order adjustments, and additions.
  • Promote and provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
  • Work with distribution center operations to ensure achievement of performance metrics.
  • Monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurements.
  • Ensure daily documentation accuracy and completion.
  • Promote a safe and harmonious work environment and adherence to company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Q.F., HACCP, GWP, and FSMA regulations.
  • Assist Warehouse Leadership with the development and maintenance of warehouse procedures.
  • Communicate and document errors/mistakes made by employees to supervisors.
  • Furnish training or coaching aids when necessary.
  • Maintain load schedule and update data to spreadsheets or other systems.
  • Ensure all paperwork is filled out properly for shipping and receiving processes.
  • Assign doors to drivers for loading and monitor priority usage.
  • Communicate on pre-loads and needs for drop trailers.
  • Ability to use Oracle basic functions, customer portals, and WMS in ASN and customer site operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and safety requirements concerning Supply Chain Administration.
  • Report safety concerns promptly and take corrective actions to ensure a safe environment.
  • Ensure work areas are sanitary and adhere to sanitation practices.

Requirements

  • A GED or High School Diploma is highly preferred.
  • At least 1 year's distribution/admin office experience or equivalent.
  • Ability to apply basic to complex mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Knowledge of the company's mission, purpose, and goals.
  • Ability to operate facility equipment as required.
