About the position

The SMB Account Manager for the South Central Region at Sealed Air is responsible for driving sales growth within a designated geographical area. This role focuses on prospecting new customers while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships. The Account Manager utilizes a knowledge-based selling approach to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Drives sales growth through a knowledge-based selling approach by understanding customer needs and leveraging product knowledge.
  • Develops a consultative approach to quickly transition customers from prospects to problem-solving dialogues and solution offerings.
  • Demonstrates market and solution knowledge by understanding sector needs and articulating Sealed Air's product suite to customers and distributors.
  • Creates a sales, profitability, and growth plan for the assigned geography to drive profitable growth with existing and potential customers.
  • Maintains customer accounts by establishing relationships, addressing issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction with Sealed Air Product Care solutions.
  • Works closely with the marketing team to review and improve account profitability and manage margins.
  • Completes key administrative tasks such as pricing, CRM reporting, and budgeting.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree; MBA or MS is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in outside sales.
  • 3+ years of experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel overnight.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledgeable in CRM.
