About the position

The Sterilizer SPD Maintenance Technician at Auxo Medical is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, servicing, and providing calibration and installation support for various medical equipment, including sterilizers and washers. This field-based role requires strong technical skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers while ensuring superior service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Travel to hospital and surgical facilities to maintain and service medical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair sterilizers, washers, ultrasonic, and related equipment.
• Provide calibration and installation support as needed.
• Build positive relationships with customers and enhance the Auxo brand.
• Ensure superior customer service at every level.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in electronics, mechanics, or similar discipline, or technical training certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance from an accredited vocational school.
• High school diploma with 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, industrial maintenance, or similar field service repair and maintenance.
• Strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and utilize schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Experience using a computer tablet and/or PC, with understanding of Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
• Superior customer relations skills.
• Ability to adapt to multiple, changing priorities.
• Valid driver's license and dependable personal transportation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience maintaining/repairing Steris, Getinge, Belimed, or similar medical equipment.
• Background in steam fitting.
• Commercial plumbing, HVAC, or electrical apprenticeship experience.
