About the position

A&E Incorporated is seeking a full-time Stockroom Clerk for the 1st shift, responsible for managing stock and materials within the production area. The role involves logging materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring organized storage of items. The Stockroom Clerk will also transport materials to various departments and perform quality assurance checks on finished products.

Responsibilities

• Count, sort, or weigh incoming articles to verify system inventory accuracy.
• Log incoming/outgoing materials into the computer system.
• Store articles in bins, on the floor, or on shelves according to identifying information such as version, size, or type of material.
• Consolidate items in locations where possible.
• Distribute stock among production workers, keeping accurate records of material movements.
• Perform cycle counts and submit adjustments for review.
• Inspect and measure finished products to meet quality assurance requirements.
• Transport material or supplies to other departments.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating forklift and hoist.
• Experience with computer data entry/scanners.
• Excellent attention to detail and self-motivated independent worker.
• Effective communication skills: must be able to read and write clearly and concisely in English and understand/follow written work instructions and company procedures.
• Must be capable of lifting/moving up to 40 pounds periodically throughout the shift and standing/walking/bending/squatting regularly throughout the workday.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
