About the position

The Store Manager Unassigned position at Walgreens is designed for individuals who are on an accelerated development track to become a Store Manager. This role involves learning the full operations of a Walgreens store, including both front-end and pharmacy operations, under the guidance of a Store Manager. The position emphasizes training, personal development, customer experience, operational management, business performance, and people management, with a focus on achieving proficiency in all aspects of store management.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand Walgreens' operations and ways of working to lead full store operations.
  • Complete an accelerated development program including all necessary certifications for the Store Manager role.
  • Engage with customers and resolve complaints to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Shadow the Store Manager to gain experience in supervising store operations and team members.
  • Analyze financial and performance data to develop action plans for improving business results.
  • Support the Store Manager in observing customer service trends and improving service metrics.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance personal and professional growth.
  • Assist in managing inventory and ensuring compliance with operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of retail management experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of retail management experience.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Willingness to accept assignment into a Store Manager position if offered.

Nice-to-haves

  • PTCB Certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Managerial experience in a Retail Store or Hospitality environment.
