About the position

The Structured Cabling Technician role at Superior Communication Services involves installing and maintaining structured cabling systems in commercial environments. The position requires a reliable and motivated individual who can work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring high-quality work and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Roughing in, terminating, and testing copper cabling.
• Installing pathway supports such as j-hooks and ladder trays.
• Servicing/troubleshooting network cabling in a commercial environment.
• Installing closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels, and fiber enclosures.

Requirements

• Technical skills and knowledge of structured cabling systems.
• Ability to follow blueprints, notes, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of TIA and BICSI Standards.
• Industry-specific manufacturer certifications and BICSI training and/or certifications preferred.
• Excellent time management, planning, and decision-making skills.
• Enjoys hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a professional team with a positive and professional attitude.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
