About the position

The Ladder Method, Inc. is seeking part-time Study Skills Tutors to provide in-person tutoring services in San Diego and South Orange County. The role focuses on teaching time management and study skills to students, particularly those with ADHD. Tutors will work approximately 12-15 hours per week, depending on demand, and are expected to foster a supportive learning environment that encourages students to develop effective study habits.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person tutoring focused on time management and study skills.
• Support students with ADHD in developing effective learning strategies.
• Encourage students to understand their learning processes and habits.
• Adapt tutoring methods to meet individual student needs.
• Maintain a professional and warm demeanor while working with students.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) or higher required.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred.
• Availability for weekday afternoons and evenings, and one weekend day, preferably Sunday.
• Experience serving high net-worth clients is a plus.
• Experience in LA Independent schools is highly desired.
