About the position

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the functional support areas of materials procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery for the plant. This role involves directing the overall Supply Chain strategy, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring clear communication across various teams to meet operational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for material procurement, warehousing & distribution of raw materials, goods-in-process and finished goods.
  • Accountable for end-to-end service delivery for the plant site, ensuring effective customer service and integration with stakeholders.
  • Defines & implements productivity measurements to drive sustainable performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develops and implements methods to drive continuous improvement, enhancing efficiencies and reducing costs.
  • Ensures timely and accurate inbound/outbound logistics for plant materials and finished goods.
  • Leads the team in fostering a culture of respect, teamwork, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Manages the Supply Chain function in alignment with business growth and financial objectives.
  • Oversees the entire subcontract life cycle from proposal to development and oversight.
  • Develops RFP/RFQ packages and manages staff to ensure timely distribution of merchandise.
  • Leads negotiation strategies and proposal responses to meet program requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a technical discipline from a four-year college or university, or 7 years of related experience and/or training.
  • 5+ years of experience in subcontract negotiation, development, and management.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry (preferred).
  • Experience with Statement of Work (SOW) generation and Earned Value Management techniques.
  • Familiarity with processes used to manufacture electro-mechanical aerospace products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma manufacturing, Green Belt preferred.
  • Ability to commute to Goldsboro, NC 27534 (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (preferred).
