About the position

The Systems Analyst position is a remote role focused on understanding business objectives and problems, identifying solutions, and performing cost/benefit analyses. The analyst will be responsible for data migration planning and execution, ensuring compliance with standards, conducting testing and quality assurance, and providing post-migration support. This role requires strong communication skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the migration process.

Responsibilities

  • Understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive migration strategies from Netsmart's myAvatar EHR to a new SaaS model EHR, including data assessment, cleansing, and mapping.
  • Document all phases of the migration process and create detailed project documentation in line with requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with standards, including clinical data management and security, and establish protocols for data integrity and privacy.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of the migration process, including creating and executing unit test scripts and managing test scenarios.
  • Provide regular updates on migration progress to project stakeholders and prepare presentations to explain the migration process and technical challenges.
  • Facilitate post-migration support, including training end-users and preparing comprehensive system documentation.

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience in database management systems and data migration, particularly in healthcare EHR systems like Netsmart myAvatar.
  • 7 years of experience utilizing Informix, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server SQL and database scripting for data migration processes.
  • 7 years of experience in documenting business process flows and standardizing process flow improvements.
  • 7 years of experience in business analysis, including reviewing and analyzing user requirements and operational procedures.
  • 7 years of experience in resolving complex data-related issues using analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.
  • 7 years of experience in preparing specifications for data input/output processes.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills for producing clear project documentation and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to lead diverse teams and inspire productivity and collaboration.
  • In-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights.
  • 7 years of experience with architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to information systems and applications.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in the IT industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of prior experience with SaaS model EHR systems and cloud data migrations.
  • 2 years of experience in regulatory compliance and data security related to healthcare data.
