About the position

The Systems Test Analyst role at General Atomics involves supporting various engineering teams in the Systems Integration Lab. The position focuses on assisting with research, development, integration, evaluation, and qualification of systems and subsystems, providing both software and hardware support. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging in the entire project lifecycle from design to verification.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in phases of a project's life cycle including system architecture design, schematic creation, and parts selection.
  • Advise engineers during design and system integration processes.
  • Support engineers in designing, building, and testing solutions to technical problems.
  • Inspect inventory and reorder materials and technical components as necessary.
  • Attend critical design reviews and program kickoffs with engineering team members.
  • Provide technical advice and assistance on the acceptance, installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of assigned systems.
  • Function as a technical expert on assigned systems and provide on-the-job training for personnel.
  • Evaluate technical manuals and provide recommendations for corrections.
  • Engage in the repair of systems and demonstrate maintenance techniques and procedures.
  • Handle tasks assigned by engineering team members while supporting day-to-day program objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of education.
  • Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to identify issues and develop solutions.
  • Good analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
  • Strong computer skills applicable to a lab environment.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Similar job-related experience with avionics in the DoD/Aerospace/Aeronautical industry.
  • Experience with simulation hardware/software.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.
