About the position

Apex Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center is seeking a highly motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team. This role is focused on developing and implementing effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified talent in the healthcare services industry. The specialist will work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Conduct interviews and assess candidates' qualifications and fit for the role.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on the recruitment process.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Source and screen candidates using a variety of methods, including job boards, social media, and employee referrals.
  • Screen applications and select qualified candidates.
  • Schedule interviews; oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Search for externship and internship candidates and retain contact with sources to assist with placement.
  • Perform other HR Department duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or Comprehensive Services a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and other recruitment tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Nice-to-haves

  • SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
  • SHRM-CP Certification a plus.
  • Experience recruiting for the Health Care Services industry.
  • Experience with diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Experience with campus recruitment programs.
  • Experience with employer branding and social media recruitment.
