About The Position

Requirements

• College diploma or equivalent in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform office duties such as attendance reports, typing, filing, and handling routine interruptions.
• Supervise students during lunch, playground, halls, and classroom activities.
• Type, draw, write, and duplicate instructional materials as needed.
• Research and assemble materials for specific units as instructed by teachers.
• Prepare bulletin boards, graphs, and charts for classroom use.
• Reserve films and check papers, workbooks, homework, and tests for objective answers.
• Read to students and listen to them read, assisting with make-up work as necessary.
• Assist in individual or group activities, games, and drills to reinforce skills taught by the teacher.
• Alert the teacher to the needs of students and assist in checking progress on individualized study projects.
• Fill out attendance forms and check emergency sheets and class lists occasionally.
• Assist with inventory of supplies and equipment and help with field trips.
• Contact community resource people and make educational games and aids as needed.
• Assist during emergencies and perform any other delegated non-instructional responsibilities.
