About the position

The Technical Project Specialist at ICF will support the Office of Child Care Projects portfolio, focusing on delivering training and technical assistance to Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) grantees. This role involves developing high-quality digital content, supporting national technical assistance events, and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in digital content strategies and communication best practices, particularly in the context of early childhood education.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality written and visual content for various platforms including websites, blogs, videos, and social media.
  • Support planning of technical assistance events such as webinars and training sessions.
  • Provide support in developing and revising written and web-based resources with an emphasis on plain language.
  • Coordinate with the IT team to enhance digital content visibility on search engines.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and identify process improvements.
  • Support document formatting, 508 compliance, and citations.
  • Advise writers on integrating equity and effective communication strategies.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies for project information sharing.
  • Support meeting logistics and provide technical support for virtual meetings.
  • Build strong relationships with project staff for collaborative planning and problem-solving.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understand project operations and objectives for high-quality technical assistance resources.
  • Make independent decisions on high-priority tasks with tight timelines.
  • Ensure quality control for all technical assistance and training deliverables.
  • Conduct training for team members on resource development and digital writing best practices.
  • Engage in team meetings and collaborative projects as requested.
  • Maintain a consistent work schedule and communicate changes to availability.
  • Support data collection tasks using various platforms.
  • Assist in proposal development activities as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, public policy, or management.
  • 5+ years' experience in early childhood education, public policy, or management support.
  • 1+ year experience in project management support and management processes.
  • 1+ year experience in data collection and analysis or training material development.
  • 1+ year experience in digital content strategy and audience engagement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in early childhood education, public policy, or management.
  • 5+ years' experience working with adult learners as a trainer/facilitator.
  • Experience in developing content based on policy in a team environment.
  • Interest in using knowledge of adult learning styles in product creation.
  • Experience with graphic design and tools like Canva.
  • Knowledge of 508 compliance.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications and project management tools.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
