About the position
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech position involves assisting physicians in performing various interventional radiology procedures during a 13-week travel assignment in Hazel Crest, IL. Responsibilities
- Assist physicians in performing a variety of interventional radiology procedures.
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
- Assist in a range of IR procedures, including thoracentesis, paracentesis, embolizations (UFE), IVC filter placements, SVC repairs, PICC and central line placements, CT-guided biopsies and needle aspirations, fistulas, and shock wave lithotripsy.
- Operate and maintain IR equipment, including imaging systems.
- Document procedures and patient information accurately.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent IR Tech experience.
- Active IL license (IEMA).
- Active certifications: ARRT, BLS (American Heart Association), CCI certification.
