About the position
Firefly Tutors is seeking an experienced Russian Language Tutor for in-home tutoring in Sacramento County, CA. The role involves assisting K-12 students, particularly English Language Learners (ELL), in various subjects while providing personalized and engaging tutoring sessions. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both Russian and English and possess a Bachelor's degree or higher.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized tutoring sessions based on student's language proficiency in Russian and English.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
- Coordinate with parents/guardians to schedule recurring sessions.
- Collaborate with students to set achievable goals and track their development.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Manage tutoring sessions effectively, ensuring a supportive and productive learning environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- Fluent in Russian and English.
- 1-2 years of experience working with students.
- Ability to assist English Language Learners (ELL) with schoolwork in Russian or English.
