Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Experience in construction or maintenance (for Utility Maintenance Worker II and III).
• Water and/or wastewater experience (preferred for Utility Maintenance Worker II).
• Class I ABC certification in Water or Wastewater (required for Utility Maintenance Worker III).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance for pumps, mixers, motors, valves, meters, and water and wastewater lines under direct supervision.
• Monitor and inspect utility lines using proper equipment.
• Participate in housekeeping duties and grounds maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Maintain safety and proper operation according to city regulations, including trench and confined space precautions.
• Direct and guide traffic at work sites to ensure safety.
• Operate a variety of equipment and vehicles, including trucks and power tools.
• Respond to emergency maintenance duties, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
