The Vascular Technician PRN position at Chippenham Hospital involves performing non-invasive peripheral testing to evaluate patients' arterial, venous, and cerebrovascular circulation. The role requires utilizing various imaging techniques and ensuring compliance with established protocols. The technician is responsible for preparing data, writing preliminary reports, and maintaining lab equipment, while also contributing to a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive peripheral testing to evaluate patients' circulation using Doppler ultrasound, plethysmography, and duplex imaging.
• Ensure digital images are obtained and sent to PACS according to IAC protocol.
• Prepare data and write preliminary reports for physician review.
• Obtain and record relevant patient history and reasons for testing.
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure optimal functioning through inspections and troubleshooting.
• Restock work areas with necessary supplies and keep them clean and orderly.
• Submit activity reports as requested and participate in lab functions as needed.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Registered Vascular Specialist or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT).
