About the position

The Visual Inspector at Sabre Industries is responsible for conducting visual dimensional inspections of poles and shafts, ensuring they meet specified blueprints and design drawings. This role is crucial in maintaining quality standards and involves cross-training in various areas of the Quality Control Department. The position emphasizes the importance of accurate documentation and effective communication within the team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts to blueprints/design drawings.
• Perform Visual Weld Inspections to the requirements of AWS D1.1.
• Cross-train in other areas of the Quality Control Department and fill in when needed.
• Ensure that all documentation is accurately and neatly completed, including pictures of loads.
• Use various dimensioning tools to ensure proper coatings have been applied when required.
• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times with personnel of the Quality Department and all departments at Sabre.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year in Quality Control or related field in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to accurately verify all parts to print using a tape measure.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Must be able to conduct dimensional inspections using various dimensioning tools.
