About the position
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for various general warehouse duties, including inventory control, loss prevention, and managing shipping and receiving documentation. The role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a clean driving record to ensure smooth operations within the warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the rotation of inventory within the warehouse by preparing shipments, staging and verifying incoming material, and using powered industrial equipment (forklift, hand-crane, pallet jack, shrink wrap machine, etc.)
- Load and unload goods to and from designated storage areas, such as racks, shelves, or vehicles in an organized and efficient manner
- Notify managers of any major maintenance issues encountered
- Properly use Timekeeping App to ensure appropriate and accurate time-management
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding and compliance with the company's safe lifting practices and standard operating procedures
- Ensure that all safety procedures remain a priority by maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Obtain and maintain forklift certification
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED required
- Must be a team player
- 1+ years of prior warehouse and forklift experience
- Must pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug test
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. at a time
- Able to operate GPS, an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
- Customer service skills and ability to represent the company in an appropriate manner
