About the position

The Warehouse Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting and coordinating the activities of warehouse workers involved in receiving and distributing building material products. This role includes overseeing process control responsibilities, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws, and managing various operational tasks to maintain efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

  • Document processing for all outbound LTL and Parcel shipments.
  • Ensure all shipments have proper POD documents per customer and company requirements and confirm deliveries.
  • Schedule work for special and periodic inventories.
  • Assist in periodic cycle counting of inventory.
  • Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions.
  • Maintain calendar schedule for all inbound freight.
  • Coordinate with dedicated carriers for efficient and safe routing of delivery trucks.
  • Coordinate will call orders in a safe and service-friendly manner.
  • Maintain and care for company-owned or leased equipment, ensuring all PIV equipment inspections are completed and records retained.
  • Upload all required documentation onto secured network.
  • Receive stock into the warehouse and notify purchasing agent of any discrepancies between shipment(s) and purchase order.
  • Print daily production work along with corresponding shipping documents.
  • Assist with monthly warehouse safety inspections.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Experience in warehouse operations or logistics management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to lead and train warehouse staff effectively.
  • Knowledge of safety and health management policies and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role.
