About the position
The Warehouse Package Handler Lead is responsible for supervising the offloading and sorting of incoming packages, as well as preparing outgoing freight for delivery. This role involves training sorters, providing feedback, and ensuring the safety of packages for transportation.
Responsibilities
- Supervise offloading and sorting of incoming packages for distribution.
- Prepare outgoing freight for delivery.
- Train sorters to perform assigned tasks safely and accurately.
- Provide continual feedback to sorters, both positive and negative.
- Inspect packages to ensure they are safe for truck transportation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- At least 1 year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of both.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, pull and/or move items averaging 50lbs and occasionally up to 75lbs.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
