About the position
We are seeking a compassionate and committed Psychologist to join a school district in the Wilmette, Illinois area for the 2024-2025 academic year. This full-time position involves overseeing a K-12 caseload and providing essential psychological services to students. The role emphasizes collaboration with staff and families to support student success and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to determine students' academic, behavioral, emotional, and social strengths and needs.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions and strategies to improve students' academic and social-emotional functioning.
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create positive learning environments and support student success.
- Provide crisis intervention and counseling services to students as needed.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote positive behavior support, mental health awareness, and academic achievement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation of all services provided.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Active Illinois State School Psychologist License or eligibility for licensure.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for assessment, intervention, and consultation in schools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
