About the position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our educational team at Bryant Elementary School. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their social, emotional, and academic growth. This role requires a strong foundation in early childhood education principles, effective classroom management skills, and the ability to engage students in a variety of learning activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Utilize various teaching methods, including Montessori techniques, to enhance learning experiences.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in literacy education, math, and physical education.
  • Provide early intervention strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain effective classroom management to ensure a safe and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.

Requirements

  • Multiple Subject Credential preferred, or willingness to start a program.
  • BA required.
  • Experience in classroom management and creating engaging learning environments.
  • Familiarity with literacy education, math concepts, and physical education for young children.
  • Ability to write clear lesson plans and communicate effectively with students and parents.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in early childhood education.
