About the position

The Spanish Bilingual Payroll Specialist position is a contract role focused on managing payroll for a high-volume workforce, specifically for a major transportation company. The role requires fluency in Spanish to effectively communicate with the Mexico-based division and involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with regulations, and collaborating with various departments.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage payroll for employees at high volume (1000+).
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
• Collaborate with an international office that communicates primarily in Spanish.
• Maintain payroll records and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors.
• Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and payroll information.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
• Stay updated on payroll regulations and changes in tax laws to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• 2+ years of high volume payroll experience, including Mexico payroll experience.
• Must be Spanish bilingual.
• ADP experience required (EV5 preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of payroll management processes, including debits/credits, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation.
• Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to analyze financial data and perform general ledger reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll information.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with employees and resolve payroll-related inquiries.
