About the position

KUNW in Pasco, WA is seeking a talented and motivated Spanish-speaking Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) to join our dynamic news team. As an MMJ, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality news content to our diverse audience. Your primary responsibilities will include reporting, shooting, and editing news stories, as well as generating original story ideas and developing valuable contacts within the community. You will be expected to produce daily content across various platforms, including television, the internet, social networking sites, and mobile devices. This position requires a proactive approach to news gathering and storytelling, ensuring that our coverage is timely, relevant, and engaging for our viewers. In this role, you will utilize your sharp news judgment and excellent technical skills to create compelling narratives that resonate with our audience. You will be responsible for conducting interviews, researching topics, and presenting news stories in a clear and concise manner. The ability to work independently is essential, as you will often be tasked with managing your own assignments and deadlines. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record, as travel may be required for various assignments. As a bilingual journalist, fluency in Spanish is a must, and you will leverage your language skills to connect with the Spanish-speaking community and provide inclusive coverage. Experience with live shots is required, and familiarity with Live-U technology is a plus.
