About the position

LDRM is seeking Research Analysts to join our team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will conduct thorough research on cases prior to their adjudication by gathering information from a variety of sources, including petitions, applications, supporting documents, the internet, telephone calls, and government, commercial, and open-source databases. Your ability to evaluate data sets and interpret the relevance of the gathered data, including numerical statistics, legal documents, and open-source material, will be crucial in assessing cases effectively. You will perform analyses on the research conducted and the information received from various locations to identify possible fraudulent activity related to cases. Ensuring the integrity of record-keeping systems and the veracity of data collected is essential before entering the data into these systems. Writing clear and concise reports summarizing the information gathered during research will be a key responsibility, as will coordinating and networking with agency personnel, other government agencies, and coworkers to facilitate information sharing on cases involving fraud or potential criminal activity. Handling Law Enforcement Sensitive (LES) information appropriately is a critical aspect of this position. You may also be required to perform analyses on petitions being returned to identify trends that may be useful in future research prior to cases being sent overseas. Identifying errors and areas for improvement in memos associated with these petitions will be part of your duties. Maintaining a working knowledge of various resources pertaining to eligibility requirements is also expected. Additionally, you will make phone calls to collect information on an individualized basis and create reports based on the information provided, evaluating the case at hand and analyzing specific questions needing to be asked in a non-scripted manner.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of related experience.
  • High School degree or equivalent (associate degree or higher preferred).
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in Spanish.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation, including credit and criminal checks.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).
