About the position

The YPW Spanish Immersion School is seeking a joyful, energetic, and dedicated Music & Movement Teacher to work with infants to kindergarten students. This role is crucial in shaping the early childhood development of children aged 0-7 through engaging and interactive music and movement classes. The ideal candidate will have a degree in art, music, or early education, although equivalent experience will also be considered. As an instructor, you will be responsible for preparing, leading, and facilitating the music and movement program tailored to our infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarten students. This position is permanent and offers flexibility, allowing for either full-time or part-time work. The expected hours range from 20 to 40 hours per week, with a schedule that includes 4-hour and 8-hour shifts, primarily during the day from Monday to Friday, with no nights or weekends required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lead music and movement classes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarten students.
• Facilitate engaging and interactive sessions that promote early childhood development.
• Develop lesson plans that incorporate music and movement activities appropriate for various age groups.
• Assess and monitor the progress of students in the music and movement program.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall learning experience for students.

Requirements

• Valid Child Development Associate Certification (preferred).
• Experience in teaching, particularly in early childhood education.
• Fluency in Spanish is required.
• A degree in art, music, or early education is preferred but not mandatory if equivalent experience is present.
