About the position

The Lead Teacher at CEI Preschool Spanish Immersion School is responsible for planning and implementing a daily curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of children in their classroom. This role is crucial in fostering the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of young learners. The Lead Teacher will oversee personal care, hygiene, and learning activities, ensuring that each child receives positive guidance and support. Additionally, the teacher will manage specialized programs and maintain a clean and safe classroom environment. Regular communication with parents is essential, as the Lead Teacher will inform them of their children's progress through daily updates and scheduled parent-teacher conferences. The position offers a structured onboarding process lasting 90 days, during which new teachers will be paired with a mentor to facilitate a smooth transition into their role. The management team is dedicated to creating a supportive atmosphere, believing that happy teachers contribute significantly to the success of the school. Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement daily curriculum activities for children.
  • Promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Oversee personal care, hygiene, and learning activities of children.
  • Maintain classroom records, portfolios, and checklists.
  • Ensure the classroom is clean and safe at all times.
  • Inform parents of their children's progress daily.
  • Conduct formal and informal parent-teacher conferences regularly.
  • Coordinate specialized programs and provide positive guidance.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Bilingual or Spanish native speaker.
  • Dependable team player with a flexible attitude.
  • 1 year of childcare experience preferred, or a strong passion for working with children.
  • Genuine motivation to make a difference in children's lives.
  • CDA or Early Childhood Education Certification preferred.
  • University/College education is a significant benefit.
