About the position
The Spanish Speaking Behavior Technician role at Key Autism Services involves providing in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. This part-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about improving the lives of children and families, offering a rewarding experience while working under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The role includes implementing therapy and counseling programs, collecting data, and collaborating with supervisors to ensure effective treatment plans are followed.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy.
- Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions.
- Conduct discrete trials and implement behavior support and treatment plans.
- Work collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree (preferred), or RBT certification.
- Experience in childcare, healthcare, or mental health.
- Dependability and reliability are crucial for the child's success.
- Integrity to work in the child's home without constant supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform activities requiring fine and gross motor skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with children on the autism spectrum.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
