About the position

The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District (MPUSD) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Spanish Teacher for Monterey High School. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging Spanish language curriculum for high school students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback to support their learning.

Requirements

  • Valid multiple subject credential or evidence of application to CTC.
  • English Learner Authorization (Credential copy showing ELA, CLAD Cert, BCLAD certification).
  • Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and/or FBI.
  • Proof of Tuberculosis clearance.
  • Social Security Card for payroll purposes.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Three letters of recommendation.
  • Letter of introduction.
  • Resume.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience teaching Spanish at the high school level.
  • Familiarity with culturally responsive teaching practices.
  • Ability to integrate technology into language instruction.
