About the position

The Spanish Teacher (PreK-2nd) at It Takes A Village Leadership Academy is responsible for developing and implementing a Spanish language curriculum for young learners. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Spanish language curriculum aligned with proficiency guidelines and educational standards.
• Engage students in beginner language skills through thematic units and interactive activities.
• Design lesson plans incorporating communicative language teaching methodologies.
• Integrate authentic materials such as songs, visual aids, and games to enhance language learning.
• Introduce foundational cultural elements from Spanish-speaking countries to foster appreciation and understanding.
• Assess student language proficiency through formative and summative assessments.

Requirements

• Spanish Teaching Certification
• Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Spanish Education, Foreign Language Education, or related field preferred.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish language and culture.
• Experience teaching Spanish at the elementary, middle, or high school level is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
