About the position
Get back into the classroom where you belong by teaching Spanish with Fun Fluency next school year! Fun Fluency is looking for dynamic and energetic Spanish-speaking teachers to be trained and join our growing team. We are currently hiring for a three-day-a-week teaching position at a private school near Niles, IL. Both full-time and part-time positions may be available. Our teachers receive training and ongoing mentorship in our storytelling immersion methods, ensuring they are well-prepared to engage students effectively. We provide dynamic lesson plans, creatively designed Google Slides, online games, and animated videos with focus vocabulary to accompany all lessons. Additionally, teachers receive all necessary workbooks, props, materials, and support needed to be successful in their roles. Our teachers thrive in a community of over 45 local Spanish teachers, ensuring they are never alone in their teaching journey. Each teacher is assigned their own mentor and coach for any assistance needed. Fun Fluency teaches Spanish through comprehensible immersion, aligning with how our brains are meant to learn languages.
Responsibilities
- Teach Spanish to students using immersive and engaging methods.
- Utilize provided lesson plans and materials to deliver effective lessons.
- Collaborate with other teachers and mentors for continuous improvement.
- Engage students through multi-sensory methods including movement, games, and storytelling.
- Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment.
Requirements
- Spanish Teaching Certification
- English Professional Educator License
- At least 1 year of classroom experience
- Associate's degree
- Fluent Spanish speaker with strong English skills
- Experience using computers and technology
- Reliable transportation to commute to schools in Chicago or surrounding areas.
