About the position

The Niskayuna Central School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate Spanish Teacher for a probationary track position. This role will be based at Iroquois Middle School and Van Antwerp Middle School, where the successful candidate will be part of the World Languages Department. The position is full-time, requiring a commitment of 1.0 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) over a 10-month academic year. The ideal candidate will possess a New York State Teacher Certification in Spanish and will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective language instruction to students, fostering a love for the Spanish language and culture. As a Spanish Teacher, you will be expected to create a dynamic learning environment that encourages student participation and promotes language acquisition. You will develop lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to the diverse needs of students. Collaboration with colleagues in the World Languages Department is essential to ensure a cohesive curriculum and to share best practices in language instruction. Additionally, you will be responsible for assessing student progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes.
